Will This Horrible Sportscaster Be Our Next VP?! (Palin Video!) DON’T CLICK HERE – VIDEO HAS BEEN PULLED!

3 Sep

Here’s John McCain’s VP candidate back in her sportscasting days.  Gotta love the 80s!

Let’s hope she’s better at the VP thing…

In fairness, many Americans (myself not included) think Ronald Reagan was a terrific president and he was a terrible actor.

…even the idea that Palin knows sports causes me to laugh. Perhaps she was good at her job of reporting sports. I don’t know, but would love to ask some questions. As every sports announcer should also know at least some sports history.

This would be my question to her: What exactly is meant by the term “Steel Curtain”…what do the names Stallworth, Bradshaw, Harris, Bleier…and Chuck Knoll all have in common? What is meant by “building a team through the draft”?

Yet, I must say, even if she knew the answer she wouldn’t get my vote…Oh but wait! She’s a woman so I should vote for her (NOT!)

I wanted to mention that I’m originally from Detroit (HOCKEY TOWN!). My Dad, both my brothers…and my brothers boys..all played hockey.

Now my oldest brother’s grandsons play hockey. As soon as Palin’s ‘speech’ was over I got a call from my sister in-law…regarding Palin saying the only difference between a “hockey mom and a pit-bull…iis lipstick”.

My sister in-law (very right-wing) asked if I thought people would really believe that. I told her I have no clue. She said well…”it’s not true”. She was angry that it was said…and even angrier that it’s implied that women should vote for her based on her gender.

I have a feeling that some of my family are starting to realize what I’ve been saying for years is, indeed, FACT.

    “GO WINGS!”
    (N. Lindstrom is my favorite…I have an autographed jersey!)

After my last comment, I thought I’d do a post about hockey. It’s titled: “A Hockey Town Family”…let me know what you think.

This will let you see, clearly, how I came to love sports (…but don’t tell anyone. I was told it’s not “ladylike” for a woman to be so involved)

I see Youtube has been compromised and the Sarah Heath Palin video has been pulled already. America may elect a bad sportscaster and one-time playboy bunny as vice president?

I’m really trying to keep an open mind toward McCain, but his pick of Palin and her complete lack of experience & substance just keeps making it hard to contemplate actually voting for McCain.

I hear tonight McCain’s speech is supposed to actually include vision. So, we’ll see.

As for your family, I’m glad they’re not falling for tired cliches and a very obviously political VP pick. For someone who claims to be all about Country First, I don’t think McCain’s pick for #2 demonstrates that he walks the walk… Think the GOP can and should do better as well as the Dems.

Hockey’s a great sport and Detroit’s one of the best places to grow up a fan of it I’m sure.

As for your hockey post, sounds like a great idea. But, you should write what you want to write about no matter what I or anyone else thinks. And I’m sure you do.

Sports should be for all to enjoy!

Thanks for your comments and for continuing to check out this space!

Thanks so much for checking out my blog. I of course have no control over the video being yanked from youtube. Hope you weren’t inconvienced and hope you had a chance to look around & that you found something else that interested you.

It’s going to be a tight race and we may absolutely have an ex-sportscaster as our VP. Nothing wrong with that if she had the kind of experience that actually merited the VP slot.

    Please come on back,
